Lamps

I have been wanted to makeover my lamps for awhile but just haven't found an inspiring way until I came across this blog

Of course I'm not paying Pottery Barn's pricy lamps, I'm happy with my $8 makeover for 2 cans of .97 spray paint, and 3-pkgs of coffee filters- $1 ea, 3 bags of glue sticks- $1 ea from the $ Tree, I just love the $ Tree.

dresser

My son's dresser has been need of a new makeover. So, the other day I got busy working on it. I wanted it to look an little antique so, I sprayed it with a flat white for the primer, then with the Heirloom white and then lastly got out my furniture stain and wiped it down. I also sprayed the knobs black.  Here's what the dresser looked like before:

I like how it turned out and it looks so good against the light blue wall.
What have you painted lately?

Girls Bunkbed and New Curtains

I got busy last week with things and didn't get to show off the girls bunkbed that I spray painted last weekend. The color was heirloom white by Rust-oleum painter's touch.  The girls were so excited to see it when I was done with it. They have been sleeping in one bed together while I was painting the beds, so they had fun doing that. Anyways here is the bed before it was painted:

Tour of my girls room

This is where my girls hang out alot and play dress-up, barbies, littlest pet shop, and listen to music! They are Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Fans, as you can tell from the walls. Anyways here is their tour of their bedroom:

I dropped into the goodwill the other day and saw this mirror for 6.99 and I really didn't want to pay that much for it, and while I was there yesterday it was half off, I knew I had to have it then. It looks so cute in their room. It was already painted green so I just left it that way. Now its a cute little corner to do their hair and get all prettied up!

Need to add a photo in that blue frame! The girls and I made this butterfly canvas over the christmas holiday! We had fun doing it. I was inspired here on making this butterfly!

Also was inspired on this art work, but instead of buying this online, I made my own picasa and then printed in through walmart website. So instead of 25.00 I made it for only less than 5.00 for the frame and picture.
The girls had found this flower picture my son had drew and painted during the school year, I thought it would be a perfect piece to hang on the wall.

This is how we store our toys! Found these at Target on clearance works out great and they can roll on the floor.

Hope you enjoyed the tour our my girls bedroom!
